Robot cameras were a special breed, offering high speed motor drive but (until near the end) no rangefinders in a small but very heavy body, with a sort of 2/3-frame 35mm format. The Robot II of the 1940s produced 24 x 24mm exposures on standard 35mm film in special cassettes. The wind knob on top gave about 10 exposures per wind at speeds up to 6 frames per second.
